Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Nickelodeon Monopoly Behind the Scenes

Power Up with Monopoly: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Edition

It’s time to POWER UP and take over New York City because MONOPOLY: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Edition has arrived. For all the fans of the current Nickelodeon cartoon, Ninja Turtles Monopoly brings everything you love about the show to the tabletop: including pizza… lots of pizza. Yum.

For fans of the 80’s cartoon, we’ll have a game for you too (in November). So do as Splinter would and use patience as your guide as you wait. For now, let’s celebrate the modern turtles with the fans of the current show by taking a look at what’s inside the game.

Ninja Turtles Monopoly: What Lies Beneath the Manhole Cover

Danger is lurking, and now it’s up to you to keep New York City safe. Here’s what you’ll need to know about Ninja Turtles Monopoly to become the ninja that takes over it all!

  • The custom designed game board features 22 locations in New York City that would make any ninja’s dreams come true. Spaces include Splinter’s Dojo and Donnie’s Workshop & Lab (Replacing Boardwalk and Park Place) as well as locations such as Shredder’s Hideout, Kraang’s Lair, and Antonio’s Pizza-Rama.

  • In Classic Monopoly, transportation took place by trains alone. But in Ninja Turtles Monopoly, you can travel with high tech turtle mobiles including: Patrol Buggy, Foot Clan Bike, Stealth Cycle, and ShellRaiser.

  • Do you want to take over New York for the good of the city or to be an evil ruler? With the 6 collectible tokens, you can play for the side of good or the side of evil (or the side of pizza) with tokens that include: Kraang, Spike, Throwing Star, Mutagen, Shredder’s Mask, and of course PIZZA.

  • Classic ‘Chance’ and ‘Community Chest’ cards are transformed into ‘Allies’ and ‘Enemies’ cards. But beware – not all Allies cards are good and not all enemies cards are bad, so tread lightly on your ninja feet as you round the board.

  • Last but not least, if you’re to become the ultimate ninja of New York City, then you’ll need money! And Monopoly: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Edition includes not only money, but Turtles cash featuring your favorite characters: $1.00 Shredder, $5.00 Raph, $10.00 Leo, $20.00 Mikey, $50.00 Donnie, $100.00 April, and $500.00 Splinter.
