Hell Hath No Fury Like Discovering Someone Ate the Last Piece of Cheesecake

Golden Girls Clue Product Announcement

August 4, 2017:

There is little in this life that is as endearing to people as The Golden Girls, but seeing the ruthless side of those salty octogenarians in this high-energy game is the best part. Don’t know what we’re talking about? Get a clue!

Call upon your gumshoe gumption to get to the bottom of WHO ate the last piece of cheesecake, WHERE they dared commit such a crime, and WHAT iconic item from The Golden Girls was left at the scene.

Let’s Take a Peek Inside the Hilarious Whodunnit, The Golden Girls-Style

Instead of murder as in the original CLUE® game, the crime being solved here is a much more heinous offense—who ate the last piece of cheesecake? Was it Sophia in Rose’s bedroom, leaving behind a can of whipped cream? Or was it Blanche in the garage after being careless with her feathered slipper? Trust us when we tell you that you’ll solve the crime, but getting there is half (or all!) the fun. The suspects are all your favorite female characters from the show in addition to series regulars Stan and Miles.

The “weapons” in this sidesplittingly funny version are noteworthy items from the show—such as the Bathrobe or the infamous Rattan Chair—that were left at the scene of the crime. Locations for where the (gasp!) cheesecake was so brazenly eaten will also be iconic places The Golden Girls fans will surely recognize, such as The Lanai or Dorothy’s Bedroom. And as anyone who loves cheesecake knows, there’s no stopping until this heinous atrocity gets the justice it deserves.

The list of game components is extensive, including the following: The Game Board (a custom illustrated map of Blanche’s house), 6 Suspect Movers (Blanche, Rose, Dorothy, Sophia, Stan, Miles), 6 Item “Weapon” Tokens (Feathered Slipper, Rattan Chair, Bathrobe, Lipstick, Whipped Cream, Sophia’s Purse), 6 Personality Cards, 21 Rumor Cards, 25 Distraction Cards, Custom Score Pad, CLUE® Envelope, Rule Book and 2 six-sided dice.

You’ll use your power of deduction to solve the crime in typical CLUE® fashion while enlisting your character’s special “power”. For instance, once per game Sophia may start two rumors while on the same turn. Distraction cards will make the game more complicated. The more challenging the distraction, i.e. “A dashing new man enters the scene!”, the more chances your character will be thrown off the scent of solving the crime.

The Distraction Cards have the most potential to throw players off the scent, as the game could be won as players get distracted by things like a shopping spree or neighbor drama. And along with each character role, each player is assigned a specific character ability card. For example, once per game, Blanche may randomly pick a card to look at from someone you just showed a card to. You’ll be surprised by how much strategy goes into this cheesecake whodunit!

Make sure to get to your local retailer before the final crumb of guilt hits the floor, as CLUE®: The Golden Girls will be here before you can say, “Who, me?”
